Suburban Shakedown

yesterday I felt like a monk from an obscure religion making a pilgrimage to strip malls and front yards.  Riding the train I saw suburban mothers scheduling playdates, avoiding sickness right alongside girlfriends who had spent the night making plans and promises with their boyfriends in his cool/small apartment.  Am I a part of this?
I rode against the current both ways today, departing as the commuters came, only to be an arrival to the sight of them leaving.  If anything it was easier then following the crowd, more leg room at least.
